Intro to drama
Mondays 10:00 am- 11:00 AM January 29th- April 15th (no class Feb 19th & Apr 1st)

Great for all levels of experience and ability. Explore a variety of drama activities in this adaptable program such as movement, voice, making characters, Improvisation and creating a short play.

Elements of Theatre (ONLINE)
Wednesdays 10:00 am - 11:00 AM January 31st - April 3rd

Discover the many fun drama activities that can be expressed through a computer screen. Participants learn acting essentials such as emotions, making characters and storytelling. Note: sessions use Zoom and require a compatible laptop or electronic device. We have a computer loan program for those who need one. Please contact us for details.

 

Voice Acting

group A - Mondays, 12:00-1:00pm

group B - Mondays, 1:30-2:30pm

January 29th-April 17th (no class Feb 19th & Apr 1st)

Limited Capacity: Please indicate your preferred group time and we will do our best to accommodate.

Perform with a microphone like the voice actors from your favourite animated shows and podcasts. You will learn voice character building, techniques for speaking and recording into a microphone, and script reading from commercials, animated shows and 'radio-drama' style plays.

 

Playwriting circle (online)
Wednesdays 2pm - 3pm January 31st - April 3rd

Explore at the craft of writing for theatre. You will learn how to make the story, characters, dialogue, and turn your great ideas into a play.

Online Accessibility

Inside Out Theatre strives to eliminate or reduce barriers to participation. Through Calgary Learns’ Digital Divide grant, we now have a computer loan program where you may borrow a laptop. These laptops are also equipped with various accessibility features. Please contact us or leave a note in the registration to get more information or request a computer.

Program fee policy

Inside Out Theatre offers a Pay-What-You-Can registration model. We strive to remove barriers for our participants and that includes financial barriers. We invite participants to pay any amount for each ten-week session. We encourage choosing an amount that is meaningful to you and doesn’t put a financial strain on you or your family.
