About the Show:
Set in 2003, Please Return to Empire Video is a coming-of-age comedy that takes place in a small Empire Video store in southern Alberta. As VHS tapes are phased out in favor of DVDs, friends Cass and Owen, along with their grumpy coworker Thomas, find themselves in a hilariously chaotic shift of rewinding tapes, endless stickering, and sorting. But beneath the movie references and workplace antics, their friendship is put to the test in a world that’s rapidly changing around them.
